New breathing technique during lung surgery may cut complications

NCT ID NCT06446544

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether monitoring the lung's air volume during surgery that uses only one lung can help doctors perform breathing maneuvers to prevent lung collapse. About 44 adults having lung surgery will be randomly assigned to either have these maneuvers or not. The goal is to see if this approach reduces post-surgery lung problems.
