Scientists test if timing of radiation boosts cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT03223155
Summary
This study is testing the safety of combining two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) with a precise form of radiation (SBRT) for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread. The main goal is to find the safest dose of radiation for different body areas when given with these drugs. Researchers are also comparing whether giving the radiation at the same time as the drugs or one after the other works better and causes fewer side effects.
