New hope for tough lung cancers: experimental combo targets resistant tumors

NCT ID NCT07361484

First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding the experimental drug plinabulin to standard chemotherapy (docetaxel) helps people with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer live longer. It includes about 442 adults whose cancer has gotten worse after immunotherapy and platinum chemo, and who do not have certain genetic changes. Participants are randomly assigned to get either docetaxel plus plinabulin or docetaxel plus a placebo, and treatment continues until the cancer progresses or side effects become too severe.
