New combo therapy aims to boost lung cancer treatment

Summary
This study tests whether adding a short course of the MEK inhibitor mirdametinib to standard chemoimmunotherapy is safe and effective for people with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer whose PDL1 level is below 50%. About 24 participants will first help find the best dose, then be randomly assigned to receive the new combination or standard treatment. The goal is to improve disease control without requiring lifelong medication.
