New combo therapy aims to stop advanced lung cancer in its tracks
NCT ID NCT07567313
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a procedure called bronchial artery chemoembolization (which delivers chemotherapy directly to the tumor's blood supply) can improve outcomes for people with stage IV lung squamous cell carcinoma who have already had standard first-line chemotherapy and immunotherapy. About 166 adults aged 18-80 whose cancer has partially responded or remained stable after initial treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either the added procedure or continue current care. The goal is to see if this combination can delay cancer progression and extend survival.
