New combo aims to shrink lung tumors before surgery
NCT ID NCT06449313
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving chemotherapy plus an immunotherapy drug (cemiplimab) before surgery can help people with stage 3 lung cancer that has spread to certain lymph nodes. About 21 adults will receive four cycles of the drug combo, then have surgery to remove the cancer. After surgery, they may get radiation and continue cemiplimab for a year. The goal is to see if this approach leads to no cancer remaining in the removed tissue.
