Lung wash could replace painful biopsies for cancer testing

NCT ID NCT07188480

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive way to get genetic information from advanced lung cancer tumors. Researchers will collect fluid from a routine lung wash procedure and see if it can be used for detailed genetic testing, which normally requires a more invasive tissue biopsy. The goal is to see if this method works as well as standard biopsies to help doctors choose the best treatments for patients.
