New combo therapy aims to keep lung cancer from returning after surgery

Summary

This study tests the safety of combining the targeted drug alectinib with chemotherapy after surgery for a specific type of lung cancer (ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer). Eleven patients who had their tumor completely removed will receive up to four cycles of the combination. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and helps control the disease long-term.
