Summary
This study is testing the effectiveness and safety of the targeted drug osimertinib for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific genetic change called an EGFR mutation. The drug is already FDA-approved for this condition. A key part of the study involves taking tumor biopsies before treatment, during treatment, and if the cancer starts growing again, to learn how the cancer becomes resistant to the drug.
