First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests if a lung transplant followed by a bone marrow transplant can help people with severe lung disease (like pulmonary fibrosis or COPD) who also have bone marrow failure. The goal is to restore both lung function and blood cell production. Participants will receive a lung transplant first, then a bone marrow transplant within six months. The study is for adults aged 18 to 60 and will track survival, transplant success, and side effects.
