New study tests two simple therapies to ease slipped disc pain

NCT ID NCT07293676

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether two types of hands-on therapy — instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and vibration massage — can reduce pain, improve daily function, and lessen fear of movement in people with a lumbar disc herniation (slipped disc). Researchers will enroll 45 adults aged 30 to 60 who have had pain for at least 3 months. Participants will receive one of the two therapies, and their pain, disability, and fear of movement will be measured before and after treatment.
