Blood test may predict gut healing in colitis patients
NCT ID NCT06372613
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a blood test for a protein called LRG can tell if the gut lining has healed in people with ulcerative colitis. About 100 participants will have a colonoscopy to check healing, even if they feel fine. The goal is to find a simple blood test that could reduce the need for invasive procedures.
