Just 20 seconds of sprinting twice a week could transform your fitness

NCT ID NCT07328568

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doing very short, intense bike sprints (just 10–20 seconds each) twice a week can improve heart and lung fitness in inactive adults. Sixty healthy but inactive participants will do these sprints for 9 weeks, and their results will be compared to a group that doesn't exercise. The goal is to see if this quick workout is enough to make a real difference in fitness and health.
