Summary
This study looked at whether giving pregnant smokers cigarettes with very low nicotine helps them smoke less. Thirty women who were less than 25 weeks pregnant and had no college degree took part. They were randomly assigned to keep smoking their usual brand or switch to very low nicotine cigarettes for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if they smoked fewer cigarettes per day.
