Summary

This study looked at whether replacing breakfast with a low glycemic index shake could improve blood sugar and insulin levels in overweight but otherwise healthy adults. 46 participants ate either the shake or a bowl of oat cereal for two weeks. Researchers measured blood sugar and insulin responses after meals and during a glucose challenge test.
