Which tape eases heel pain best? new study tests two simple treatments

NCT ID NCT07544732

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study compares two taping techniques—Low-Dye taping and calcaneal taping—to see which better reduces pain and improves walking in people with plantar fasciitis, a common cause of heel pain. About 40 adults with heel pain lasting over three months will receive one of the two taping methods for two weeks. Researchers will measure pain, foot function, and walking patterns before and after treatment to find out which tape works best.
