New triple therapy aims to shrink stomach tumors before surgery

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with locally advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer. Before surgery, patients receive a combination of low-dose radiation, an immunotherapy drug (tirelizumab), and chemotherapy (SOX). The goal is to see if this treatment can completely eliminate the cancer before surgery. The study involves 32 participants and is currently recruiting.
