Summary

This study compares a low-carbohydrate diet to a balanced diet in 135 healthy adults over 4 weeks. Researchers want to see which diet leads to more weight loss and better heart health markers like blood pressure. Participants will follow their assigned meal plan and have check-ups at the start and end of the study.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
dietary intervention (low-carbohydrate diet or balanced diet)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show which diet is better for weight loss and heart health in healthy people.
What could go wrong
This is a small, short-term study in healthy volunteers, so results may not apply to people with health conditions or long-term diet changes.
