Scientists probe hidden link between sugar crashes and heart risk

NCT ID NCT01858896

Summary

This study aims to understand how low blood sugar affects blood vessel function, which can increase the risk of heart problems. Researchers are testing whether a natural gut hormone called GLP-1 can change these negative effects. The study involves 28 adults, half with type 2 diabetes and half without, to compare the results.
