This study looked at whether using a low-acid contrast dye during ERCP (a procedure to diagnose and treat bile duct problems) can reduce the chance of developing pancreatitis afterward. Researchers reviewed records from nearly 4,000 patients across five hospitals in China. The goal was to see if this simple change in dye could make the procedure safer.
