First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether using special magnifying glasses (loupes) helps orthodontists place braces faster and with less discomfort for patients with crowded teeth. Sixty adults each had braces bonded on one side of the mouth with loupes and the other side without, so they could compare. The main goals were to see which method took less time and caused less pain or discomfort during the procedure.
