NCT ID NCT07270887

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive procedure called remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) can reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, kidney problems, and death in people with very high-risk atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). About 2,800 participants over age 40 will receive RIC or standard care and be followed for years. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach can prevent serious events and protect major organs.
