Does an extra knee surgery during ACL repair raise arthritis risk? 10-year study aims to find out.

NCT ID NCT06885372

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study follows 510 people who had ACL knee surgery 10 years ago to see if adding an extra procedure (called LET) increases the risk of developing knee arthritis. Participants had ACL reconstruction with or without LET between 2014-2017. Researchers will use X-rays and questionnaires to compare arthritis rates and overall knee health between the two groups.
