What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
2-hydroxybenzylamine (2-HOBA)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a treatment that reduces immune system overactivity and improves symptoms like fatigue and dizziness in people with Long COVID POTS.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 50 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
