New hope for long COVID heart sufferers? major trial underway

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of anti-inflammatory and heart-protecting drugs can reduce symptoms and prevent heart damage in people with Long COVID. About 279 adults with ongoing heart symptoms and signs of heart inflammation on MRI will receive either the drug combo or a placebo. The goal is to see if early treatment can stop the disease from getting worse and improve quality of life.
