Summary
This study is testing a medicine called lofexidine to see if it is safe and can help reduce withdrawal symptoms in newborns exposed to opioids in the womb. It will involve about 24 infants who are less than a week old and showing signs of withdrawal. Researchers will compare babies receiving the new medicine alongside standard care to those receiving standard care alone to find the right dose and check for side effects.
