New drug could ease withdrawal in Opioid-Exposed newborns

Summary

This study tests whether a medicine called lofexidine can safely reduce withdrawal symptoms in newborns who were exposed to opioids before birth. About 24 babies will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus lofexidine. The goal is to find the right dose and see if it helps babies feel better faster.
