NCT ID NCT05410951
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks for new gene mutations in 800 people with lobular breast cancer or a related precancerous condition. Researchers will test blood samples for changes in 113 genes. If a high-risk mutation is found, preventive surgery may be offered; for moderate- or low-risk mutations, closer monitoring with mammograms, ultrasound, and MRI will be provided. The goal is to tailor follow-up care based on each person's genetic results.
