AI vs. doctors: who writes better hospital discharge notes?

Summary
This study tests whether using a large language model (AI) to help write hospital course summaries is as safe and efficient as the usual method where doctors write them by hand. About 786 hospital discharges will be randomly assigned to either AI-assisted or standard documentation. The goal is to see if AI can reduce paperwork without compromising patient safety.
