NCT ID NCT07187050
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study tested whether an AI writing assistant (CocktailAI) helps doctors complete discharge summaries and referrals faster while keeping quality high. Twenty-one ophthalmologists from Kyoto University Hospital wrote documents for six made-up patient cases. Some used the AI to draft and then edited it; others wrote from scratch. The goal was to see if the AI saves time and produces documents that experts rate as good or better than manual writing.
