NCT ID NCT03694691

First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study aims to create a test that tells doctors whether a donated liver is healthy enough to transplant. Researchers will take small tissue samples from livers before and after transplant surgery and analyze them to find markers of good function. The goal is to help more livers be used safely, especially those that have been treated with a machine to keep them fresh. The study involves 60 adults awaiting a liver transplant.
