New breathing technique could make liver tumor treatments more precise
NCT ID NCT07291271
Summary
This study tested two different ways to help patients breathe during a procedure to destroy liver tumors. Researchers compared a continuous flow breathing method against traditional breathing methods to see which worked better during the tumor treatment. They wanted to find out if the continuous flow method could keep the diaphragm more stable, making it easier for doctors to accurately target tumors while keeping patients safely oxygenated.
