New handheld device could make liver testing easier

Summary
This study compares two portable devices that measure liver stiffness and fat without needles or surgery. Researchers will test 224 adults with chronic liver disease from hepatitis B or fatty liver disease. They'll compare measurements taken while lying down versus sitting up to see if the new handheld device works as well as an existing system.
