Summary
This study tested a two- to three-month program that teaches liver transplant candidates and a chosen 'Live Donor Champion' how to educate others and advocate for live donor liver transplantation. 76 adults on the transplant waitlist who had no potential donors at the start took part. Researchers measured how many donor inquiries and live donor transplants occurred within a year.
