Surgery plus drugs may extend life in advanced liver cancer, new trial to find out

NCT ID NCT07537959

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at people with liver cancer that has spread outside the liver. It tests whether surgically removing the main liver tumor, along with standard drug therapy, helps them live longer compared to drug therapy alone. About 280 adults aged 18-75 with a resectable liver tumor and at least one measurable metastasis will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The main goal is overall survival, and the study also tracks side effects and quality of life.
