Targeted chemo infusion tested to extend lives in tough liver cancer
NCT ID NCT05024513
Summary
This study tested if adding a targeted chemotherapy directly into the liver's blood supply could help people with advanced bile duct cancer live longer. It compared two approaches: standard drainage plus this targeted chemo versus standard drainage plus best supportive care. The goal was to see if the more intensive treatment provided a meaningful survival benefit for patients who cannot have surgery.
