Zapping liver cancer: new procedure trial seeks to destroy tumors without heat

NCT ID NCT07192731

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) to destroy small liver tumors in patients with early-stage liver cancer and good liver function. The procedure uses electrical pulses to kill cancer cells without using heat. Researchers will track how well the tumors are destroyed, monitor side effects, and check if the cancer returns over 12 months.
