First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares two intravenous fluids—human albumin and normal saline—to see which better resolves acute kidney injury in people with decompensated cirrhosis. About 114 adults with advanced liver disease and moderate-to-severe kidney injury will be randomly assigned to receive either treatment. The main goal is to measure how many patients recover kidney function without needing dialysis.
