Blood test may spot bone cancer early, avoid unnecessary surgery
NCT ID NCT07492823
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a blood test (liquid biopsy) can help diagnose and monitor chondrosarcoma, a rare bone tumor. Researchers will take blood samples from 60 patients before and after surgery, and during follow-up for 2 years, to look for cancer-related genetic changes. The goal is to see if this non-invasive method can tell aggressive from less aggressive tumors and detect cancer returning earlier than standard scans.
