New colonoscopy technique aims to spot hidden polyps that can lead to cancer

Summary

This study compares two colonoscopy methods in 1090 adults aged 40-80 to see if adding linked-color imaging (LCI) to AI-assisted water exchange colonoscopy helps find more serrated polyps, which can be hard to detect. Participants are having a colonoscopy for screening, surveillance, or symptoms. The goal is to improve detection of these polyps to prevent colorectal cancer.
