Could a drug holiday keep myeloma in check? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05932680

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with multiple myeloma who have responded very well to the drug teclistamab can safely stop taking it for a while. Instead of staying on the drug forever, participants who have done well after 6-9 months will pause treatment and restart only if signs of the disease return. The goal is to see if this break is as effective as continuous therapy, while possibly reducing side effects like infections.
