Light therapy may soothe radiation burns in breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT07600957
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special light therapy to standard skin care can reduce skin damage caused by radiation treatment in women with breast cancer. About 60 women who have had breast-conserving surgery and will receive radiation will be randomly assigned to get either standard care alone or standard care plus light therapy. The researchers will measure skin thickness with ultrasound and check the severity of any skin reactions.
