First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether shining a low-level red laser on the gums can help move teeth faster during orthodontic treatment. Eighteen adults with braces and tooth extractions received laser on one side of the mouth and a fake treatment on the other. Researchers measured tooth movement over 45 days to see if the laser side moved more quickly.
