Could a light helmet clear cancer brain fog?

NCT ID NCT05855694

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special light helmet can help cancer survivors who struggle with memory, focus, and thinking problems often called 'brain fog.' Thirty adults who finished cancer treatment (chemo or radiation) 6 months to 5 years ago will wear the helmet three times a week for six weeks. Half will get the active light therapy, and half will get a placebo helmet that looks the same but gives no light. Researchers will track changes in thinking skills, mood, and quality of life through surveys.
