First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a 12-week program of structured meals and supervised exercise can help adults aged 50 and older with obesity and insulin resistance lose fat and improve muscle function. About 80 participants will follow a special diet and exercise three times a week at a research center. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better physical function and energy balance compared to usual habits.
