First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether a program combining a reduced-calorie Mediterranean diet with increased physical activity can help 106 adults aged 30-50 with metabolic syndrome lose 5-10% of their body weight and maintain that loss for a year. Participants are compared to a group receiving standard primary care. The goal is to improve heart health and reduce chronic disease risk.
