Summary
This study tested whether a lidocaine gel applied to the eye works as well as a standard injection for numbing during pterygium surgery. The gel may be more comfortable and cause less dryness afterward. 41 adults having pterygium removal took part. The goal was to see which method causes less pain and dryness.
