Can family therapy heal rifts and ease mental health struggles for LGBTQ adults?
NCT ID NCT05766592
Summary
This study is testing two different types of online talk therapy for LGBTQ adults who have parents that do not fully accept their identity. The goal is to see if these therapies can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. One therapy works with the individual adult, while the other involves their parent(s) to try to improve family relationships. Researchers will compare which approach works better for different people.
