New drug trial aims to ease crisis for hospitalized heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT07262723
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a drug called levosimendan to standard hospital care helps patients who are hospitalized with a sudden, severe worsening of heart failure. It will involve about 332 adults in Bangladesh who are already receiving treatment but remain very short of breath. The goal is to see if this drug improves symptoms, reduces hospital stays, and is safe compared to standard care alone.
