Scientists seek the perfect protein recipe for growing kids
NCT ID NCT07492095
Summary
This study aims to find out exactly how much leucine, an essential amino acid found in foods like meat and beans, healthy children aged 6-10 need for optimal growth. Current dietary guidelines for kids are based on adult needs, which may not be accurate. Researchers will measure this by having 7 children follow special diets for short periods and collecting their breath and urine samples using safe, non-invasive techniques.
