Bone marrow protein may predict chemo response in leukemia

NCT ID NCT07163728

First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether levels of a protein called leptin in bone marrow fluid can help predict how well chemotherapy works in adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Researchers will measure leptin before treatment and compare it to response rates. The goal is to find a way to identify patients who might not respond well, so doctors can adjust treatment early. About 86 newly diagnosed AML patients will take part.
